Michelle Porter

Ms. Porter has 14 years of experience in managed care research, application design, and business analysis. Ms. Porter currently works at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Minnesota where she is developing applications to manage information collection and compliance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) requirements. Previously, she was a consultant with a large firm in Minneapolis that specialized in system development, business analysis, and knowledge-management services. Prior to that, Ms. Porter worked as a technical writer and software specialist for two medical software companies. Her initial experience with managed care and health policy was gained when she worked at InterStudy as a research assistant.
