April Haven, RN

Ms. Haven is a Registered Nurse who joined the Ofstead team as a Research Associate in 2005. She has clinical experience in several areas, including phone triage, surgical preparation, and prevention and wellness education for patients.

Ms. Haven has a BS in psychosomatic education, and she is currently finishing a Master of Liberal Studies that combines the disciplines of health and education. Ms. Haven has taken advanced coursework in patient education and health communication, and she is particularly interested in the role of prevention and proactive change in medical and educational communities. In addition, she has used her advanced Spanish language skills and clinical experience to provide medical services for international health programs in Mexico.

As one of our Associates, Ms. Haven uses her clinical knowledge to perform literature searches, develop training materials, and oversee diverse health communications projects.
