Karen Brooks

Ms. Brooks has more than 12 years of experience in clinical, managed care, and health insurance settings. In a recent role as a market research and business development consultant at Blue Shield of California, she led research efforts to redesign midsize employer group products.

Prior to that, Ms. Brooks conducted patient surveys and technology usability research for a subsidiary of Health Net, Inc. During her time as Senior Project Manager at Kaiser Permanente, Ms. Brooks supported regional efforts to redesign adult primary care protocols and implement a new appointment and advice call center initiative. Ms. Brooks is currently providing clinical and research support at the Department of Veteran's Affairs Medical Center at San Francisco while pursuing an advanced degree in dietetics at San Francisco State University.
